After the last Tournament of Champions with MommasPoker, Jim Barber won 1st place, which was a seat at the Casino Arizona tournament which had a grand prize of $20,000. So we asked him to write a brief description of his experience...
Hi gang, Jim Barber here. I have been asked to summarize my experience at casino Arizona so here it is. There where 250 seats in the tournament with some players waiting for people to drop out. We started with 3500 in chips and we were given an opportunity to buy 2000 more starting chips for $15. The average age of the players looked like about 50. Everyone played very tight, betting only when they had something. I was not catching cards and therefore lasted for about an hour. The general mood was all business. Tuesdays are a changin'! Tuesday September 8th will be the last day at the Dark Horse. Tuesday September 15th will be the first day at Cactus. So now we have Cactus games 3 days a week! Sunday, Monday, & Tuesdays! |

First off we'd like to thank everyone for their partcipation in the last round of tournaments, and to thank everyone for their continued support of MommasPoker! Momma has given the IT department updated rankings for 08/01/09 through 09/11/09. We still haven't nailed down the exact date and location for the next tournament of Champions, but we'll get it posted as soon as we know. Also please note that past rankings have been archived and are available via the "Past Player Rankings" main menu item on the left. Just under the Player Rankings item. You have to be signed in to see them as well. |

To all my poker players,
I want to thank you for all the support you’ve given me this year. Thank you for attending my 1st quarterly tournament, It was a great success and everybody really enjoyed themselves. Here is a list of the winners:
1st Jim Barber – a seat to Casino Arizona last Saturday of the month event. First prize is $20,000.00 ( I hope I get a tip when he wins, lol)
2nd prize Stephanie (Rolo) Flores – A chip set gift card to Starbucks
